About

Hello! While this is my first year at Western Washington University, I’ve been fortunate to spend time living in North Dakota, Mississippi, Oregon, and Georgia. During my moves I’ve been welcomed by many wonderful people and it is a joy to pay-it-forward and welcome you into the Buchanan Towers community! I attended college in Oregon where I worked as an orientation leader and resident assistant, received a Bachelor of Arts in organizational communication, and fell in love with the PNW. After college, I moved to the University of Georgia, where I taught communication courses and completed my Master’s degree in interpersonal and health communication. During graduate school my research focused on how college students manage conflict and the impact on their mental health. During my free time I love to read, drink good coffee, and explore the outdoors- whether it’ is backpacking, kayaking, or snowshoeing I’m game! That said, the adventure I’m most excited about this year is being a part of your experience in Buchanan Towers. I love getting to know students, so please always feel free to come by and say hi!
