WHAT IS THE BLACK STUDENT ORGANIZATION (BSO)?

The Black Student Organization was founded in 2020 in light of the Black Lives Matter Movement with the over-arching goal of reflecting on Anti-Blackness at Western Washington University and creating change.

Selome Zeri founded the Black Student Organization along with leaders from the Black Student Union (BSU), the African Caribbean Club (ACC), the Black Revolutionary Womxn Group (BWRG), the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and the Men's Resiliency Group.
