About
Hi, my name is Betty! I am majoring in Inclusive Education, which includes both elementary and special education. I chose this major because I’m passionate about creating welcoming, supportive learning environments for all students, and I’ve always loved working with children. I’m originally from Kirkland, Washington, a beautiful city near Seattle. I’ve always been a huge fan of sports. I love both watching and playing them, especially soccer! I try to keep up with all the Seattle teams, including the Sounders, Mariners and Seahawks, and attending games with friends or family is always a highlight. Western has great intermural teams that I would highly recommend When I’m not doing schoolwork or cheering on a team, you’ll probably find me with a good book. Some of my favorites include The Hunger Games for its action and strong characters, Pride and Prejudice for its wit and romance, and The Odyssey for its epic storytelling. I also watch a wide range of TV and movies, from reality shows like “The Great British Bake Off” or “Love Island” to science fiction films like “Interstellar” or “Star Wars”. I love how stories—whether in books or on screen—can transport you to entirely new worlds. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with friends, exploring Bellingham, and relaxing in the beautiful Washington outdoors. I’m excited about the journey ahead in education and look forward to the opportunities to make a difference in students’ lives!
