Welcome to the Nash Hall community. My name is Alexander McAbee and I am from the greater Seattle Washington area. This is my senior year here at Western Washington University in which I am studying Accounting with an emphasis in tax. I am currently the President of Western Washington University's Beta Alpha Psi - Theta Phi chapter. We prepare students for professional careers in Accounting, Finance and IS. Western is home to anything and everything green, you'll find me in the woods, playing on the various fields or spending time studying in the library! This is my third year working in Reslife, and if you are interested in learning how to throw pizza parties,  Karaoke nights, and dance events let's chat! It's going to be a great year, if I can make yours better let me know!

I am currently a sophomore, second year student and a pre-major for Environmental Science here at Western. I am part of the WWU Running Club, which is still in the process of being officialized. One of my favorite things about Western is how everyone, including the professors, are down-to-Earth and comfortable with being themselves. One thing I do back in my home city of Portland, is martial arts. I’ve been practicing for nine years and I love training and teaching it!

Hello, my name is AnnJeannette but you can call me Annette! I am from the Mill Creek/Everett area of Washington, which is north of Seattle. This is my fourth year at Western, and it’s my first year of grad school: I’m studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling for my master’s degree! This is my second year as an RA, and I love the Nash Community! Nash is where I lived during my first year at Western. My favorite thing about Western would be all of the amazing people I’ve met here, and how many opportunities there are to be involved around campus. I hope to someday be a counselor or a therapist that works with children and adolescents because I’m passionate about helping others. I have a lot of fun hobbies which include creative writing, reading, yoga, and dancing! This is going to be a great year!

Alyssa Hagen

NA 401-427

My name is Alyssa and I am a Senior at Western. My major is English with an emphasis in Creative Writing and I’m minoring in Dance and Psychology. As far as hobbies go, I am very involved in WWU’s Glee Club where I dance, sing, and choreograph my own numbers. In my free time I love reading and some of my favorite books include Harry Potter, (Ravenclaw for life) The Fault in Our Stars, and The Lunar Chronicles. I also enjoy spending time outdoors taking photographs of nature. If I had to choose one aspect of Western as my favorite it would probably be the people and the communities we form together. On that note, I hope you have learned a little bit about me and I’m excited to continuously get to know my residents throughout the school year.

Nash Community Council

Nash Community Council

Hall council leadership is a great way to meet new people and make an impact in your community. Some past events have included karaoke nights, the annual Piccadilly dance, super bowl parties, international potluck, social justice programming, wellness events, game nights, movie nights and academic support events…just to name a few!

There will be a Kick Off event that will provide more information during the first week of fall quarter, with elections occurring in October. For more information about hall council, talk to your Resident Advisor and keep an eye out for posters or Facebook posts promoting the events!
