Alma Clark Glass Hall

Exterior of Alma Clark

In December, 2020, Western’s Board of Trustees  unanimously approved naming the University’s new residence hall, after Alma Clark Glass, the first Black student to attend Western. In her honor, Alma Clark Glass Hall will provide Black Affinity Housing as well as other themed living groups that are represented in this 400-bed residence hall. All students interested in themed living groups and committed to the goals of the program are encouraged to apply.

The new building sits where Highland Hall and Highland Lounge were previously located, and extends north toward College Hall.

Students moved in during September move-in September 16-19, 2021. The student dedication celebration was held on October 6, 2021, and the dedication ceremony was held on Thursday, October 7.
