About
Hello! My name is Siena and I am SO excited to be a RA at ACG this year, more specifically in Pride Housing! A little about me; I am from Brier Washington, about an hour and a half South of Bellingham. Music is a huge passion of mine, whether it's playing, listening, or even just talking about it. My dad is in a few bands, so I grew up going to a lot of festivals and surrounded by other musicians. I play guitar- self taught so not incredibly- but I mostly just love to sing. I was in choir all throughout middle and high school (even serving as my high school choirs student president), and since coming to WWU last year, I have been in University Choir and Jazz Choir. With all that being said about my love of music, I am actually a Psychology major!... Or, well, I hope to be after I apply this winter. What I want to do with that degree? Beats me! But with the mindset I'm sure a lot of you new or newer students can relate to, my current plan is to learn and experience as much as I can, hoping that along the way I'll find a career path right for me. I am also in WWU's Honors Program, and absolutely LOVED the experience I had in the classes I took during the first year sequence. Feel free to email me with any questions you have about Honors, as I am more than happy to answer. Additionally, I recently discovered a really cool new minor called “Nature, Leisure, and Community Wellness” that I hope to pursue. Nature and the outdoors are a huge part of who I am and how I live my life. My dad is a river guide, so I grew up white water rafting and kayaking. I also love camping, hiking, and really any sort of adventure. Another important and relevant passion of mine is event planning and bringing people together. As an RA, I plan on facilitating a community where my residents not only feel connected and supported by me, but by the others within the residency. I truly hope to help cultivate a space where residents consider their housing, home.
