About
Sy is excited to be a part of ResLife staff! They can't wait to connect with their hall residents and the broader dorm community. They plan to double major in Spanish and Communication Sciences and Disorders in order to become a Speech Language Pathologist in the future, and they are also working to complete the Honors minor. In addition to being an SLP, they have a longtime goal of becoming a published author. They love looking for new things to do and see around campus and downtown Bellingham, and are particularly fond of the Scream Queens club. Among other things their hobbies include reading and writing fiction across many genres (including scripts and poetry), playing TTRPGs (mostly DnD), and cosplay. A few of their interests are internet and fashion history, horror and the supernatural, theatre, and film. They're a bit of an introvert, but they're always very happy to meet and connect with new people! They were born and raised in northwest Washington, and absolutely love it here; they’re always excited to hear about the experiences of newcomers to the region. Three fun facts about Sy are that they've been a dancer for as long as they can remember, the season they feel most represents them is autumn, and they're almost always listening to music in their free time (two of their favorite artists are Hozier and My Chemical Romance). A few things that are important to them are helping people feel listened to, getting them engaged, and making them laugh.
