COVID Move In Requirements

We look forward to your arrival on campus in September!  There are many questions about Western’s COVID vaccine requirement and new information on how to submit proof of vaccination to the Student Health Center.  Vaccination information can be found on the Student Health Center website:  

Proof of vaccination must be submitted by Monday, August 9, 2021 in order to select a move-in time slot.  The Move-In sign-up tool opens on August 16, 2021.

Submit Proof of Vaccination: Submittal is easy.  Send a copy of your fully completed COVID-19 Immunization Card to the Student Health Center via your secure MyWesternHealth patient portal.  Go to to login to MyWesternHealth to access your patient portal.  Please note, incomplete Immunization Cards are not accepted.  

Submit Request for Vaccine Exemption: All Western Washington University students requesting a COVID-19 vaccine exemption must complete the COVID-19 vaccination waiver request form and complete the COVID-19 Vaccine Education Canvas course.  For approval, you need to provide these two required things: 

  • a screenshot of the verification for course completion
  • the required COVID-19 Vaccination Waiver Request Form

Approval to Move into Housing:  All students must submit proof of vaccination or have an approved exemption before they can access the Housing Move-In sign-up tool, and before moving into on-campus residence hall or apartment community.
