About
Hi, my name is Landon Bursch. I'm currently a junior studying education with the goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. I've wanted to be a teacher for a long time. I know that not everyone's brain works the same way. I'm passionate about creating an environment for kids of all learning types to thrive. I grew up in Shelton, Washington, with my parents and 3 brothers. I've always had a love for creativity and activity. One of my favorite hobbies is music. I enjoy playing guitar, singing, and using music to connect with others. I also love spending time outdoors. Whether it's hiking through trails or playing a round of disc golf with friends, being outside helps me recharge and stay active. Out of all things in my life, family has been the most important to me. My family has played an important role in who I am today. I'm very fortunate to have people who've been a big support through the highs and lows in my life. Because of the support in my life, I'm always looking for ways to give back the support to others. In the past, I've worked as part of the NRHH as the VP of Programming here at WWU. As part of my job, I put on service events for the Western community. I've learned a lot from this experience, as well as gained a passion for ResLife and the work they've put into making Western a place for everyone to feel welcome and valued.
