Heyyyyy, my name is Yolanda! I am going to be studying Human Services in hopes to become a College Advisor/Counselor in the near future. My hometown is Tacoma, and I hope to actually move out here to B-Ham after school. I'm really looking forward to building a fun and welcoming community here in the Beta/Gamma housing. You’ll often find me getting involved in intramural sports—last year I did Volleyball in winter quarter and Flag football in the spring while also being active in College Success Foundation (CSF) club. I’m also a big fan of just chatting and getting to know everyone! So please, do not hesitate to reach out and strike up a conversation about anything! My room is slowly turning into an indoor jungle thanks to my growing collection of plants. I find it really calming to take care of them, and they add such a nice, green touch. They all have names so make sure you say hi to them when you meet them! I also love getting creative by doing hair and piercings; it’s a cool way to help people express themselves and feel good. And if you ever pop by my room, you'll probably notice a few of my quirky Fugglers—they’re these funny, toothy plushies that always make me smile. Oh, and you can’t miss all the purple around my space; it’s my favorite color! So much so that my name actually means "Violet flower"! I'm excited to share all these parts of myself with you and help create a vibrant, supportive environment for all.
