Nash Hall houses women and men on separate floors in single, double and triple occupancy rooms with interior corridors and community bathrooms that serve students of the same gender. A large main lounge with a kitchen as well as a piano and fireplace is a great place for social activities. Smaller lounges are located on each floor, along with kitchenettes that students can use to cook, warm up food, or hang out around meals. The laundry room is located on the basement level with a game room offering a pool table and Ping-Pong. A computer lab, TV lounge with a big screen TV, study areas, and a sundeck are also available to Nash residents. Covered outdoor spaces are provided for bikes, as well as picnic tables, and a basketball, volleyball and tennis court.
Nash has a great sense of community and a dedicated staff who work hard to facilitate an enriching, inclusive and fun environment. There is an active hall council, a fun way for new and enthusiastic members to get involved and make a difference in the community.
Nash Hall is home to some of the best views on campus of Bellingham Bay, which is particularly stunning as the sun sets and the sky is ablaze with color. Nash has a great sense of community and a dedicated staff, who work hard to facilitate an enriching, inclusive, involved and fun community.
Nash Hall has an active Hall Council and there are numerous social and educational programs each year. The largest of these is Piccadilly, a formal dance open to the entire Western community, which Nash hosts in conjunction with Mathes Hall.
ALCOHOL-FREE: The first three floors of Nash are designated as alcohol-free, for students who make a commitment to refrain from using or supporting the use of alcohol while in residence. This type of environment gives students an opportunity to live with others who have made a similar commitment.
