Hello! My name is Holly Allar (she/her) and I’ve recently joined the University Residences team as the new Director of Residence Life. My love for residence life and housing began during my undergraduate time as an RA, and that experience of building community, supporting residents, and developing as a leader started me down a fulfilling professional path in residence life for which I've been exceedingly grateful. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving residential communities at institutions across the country such as Michigan State University, University of Portland, Southern Methodist University, University of Hawaii, Manoa, and Northern Arizona University. Most recently I served as the Interim Director for Housing and Residential Education at California State University, San Bernardino. I strongly believe that a holistic residential experience has the power to transform lives, and I look forward to working with the University Residences team to provide our WWU residents with the best possible experience living on campus.
