What is RHA, and why should I know?

The Residence Hall Association is the governing student body of the Residence Halls on Western's campus. The council consists of a five-member executive board and includes representatives from each hall and apartment complex on campus.

What does RHA do?

  • Provides funding for programs and activities that enhance the lives of residential students
  • Serves as a communication link between all the Residence Halls
  • Reviews policies/procedures regarding on-campus living
  • Represents Western at the regional (PACURH) and national (NACURH) level
  • Provides leadership training/opportunities for students living on campus

PACURH 2009

Western Washington University is hosting the 2009 PACURH conference. The conference will be November 13, 2009 – November 15, 2009. More information will be posted soon on a PACURH09 website that is under construction as of right now. On this website it will include the registration cost, hotel stay, program submission and much more. We hope to have the website up as soon as possible. Contact Information

RHA includes a six-member Executive Board. The President, VP of Programming, National Communications Coordinator, VP of Membership and Records, and VP of Finance of the Residence Hall Association are elected each winter and spring to a one-year term. Terms begin the Monday of finals week Spring Quarter and continues until the following Friday of the week before finals week. The Exec board also includes members not elected by the RHA, which are the NRHH liason and the Associated Students Vice President for Student Life. The VP of Student Life is elected during the campus-wide election in the spring and serves as the liaison between RHA and the Associated Students during their tenure in office.
