RHA - Funding Request
RHA Main | Month at a Glance | Funding Request | RHA Constitution
The Residence Hall Association acts as a funding source for multiple programs, events, and activities on Western's campus. It generally takes two weeks to process a request for funds in which a representative from the requesting group or organization needs to be available to present and answer questions. The presenting group or organization is accountable for understanding the rules and procedures for funding requests outlined in Article X of the RHA Constitution

Funding Request Regulations
- Once a funding request has been submitted to RHA by any entity that entity may no longer petition for monetary aid from any other on campus residence hall. If RHA does not provide funding then that entity may resume asking the residences hall for monetary aid.
- The Residence Hall Association is not required to abide by its own funding request stipulations.
- RHA recognizes the sovereignty of parent organizations and wholly supports the repayment priority of said organizations in all cases of non residency funding requests involving underwrites.
- As the parent organization of the residence halls, RHA expects full repayment priority in all cases of residency funding requests involving underwrites.
- No entity may request an amount equal to or exceeding twice the monetary contribution of said entity except in cases in which the entity is contributing a monetary amount equal to or exceeding 1/3 of its total savings and general funds at that time.
- Any case in which RHA monetarily supports a program in an amount greater than or equal to 51% of the program's total budget RHA assumes in name top billing of said program, except in cases where the program's sponsoring entity is contributing monies in an amount greater than or equal to half of its total savings and general funds at that time.
- In all instances in which RHA assumes in name top billing of a given program said program's advertisements must include the words, "The Residence Hall Association Presents," in a font size or measurement greater than or equal to half the font size of the program's name on any given advertisement.
- Immediately following presentation and question and answer session of an information item an informal discussion, with the presenter(s) out of the room, will ensue among RHA council members, culminating in a whip around expressing the general consensus of the council in regard to said information item.
- After an information item has been represented it is the duty of the RHA representatives to present that information to their halls and get feedback in the form of a vote.
