What is Hall of the Year?
Do you think your residence hall is fabulous? Do you think it's the best on Western's campus? Show it! Hall of the Year is an annual competition devoted to deciding which of all the halls on campus deserve the coveted title of "Hall of the Year". It's a great way to reflect back on your hall's awesomeness and to show everyone else that awesomeness as well. Earn bragging rights, a trophy, and possibly national recognition for all that your hall has done.
How does one compete in Hall of the Year?
Each hall is expected to write a Hall of the Year Bid. Bids are simply documents explaining just why your hall deserves to be called Hall of the Year. Essentially it's a way to reflect back on all the awesome things that happened within your hall. Bid criteria can be found further on down the page. Turn your bid in by the specified date and bam!; you're entered in the running for Hall of the Year. That's not all, though! You then come to NRHH's End of the Year banquet and make a presentation as to why your hall deserves our coveted title. A panel of carefully selected judges then deliberates and awards points that lead to the deciding decision as to who is named Western Washington University's Hall of the Year!
