Where do I get a maintenance form?

Maintenance forms are located at each resident hall desk and should be turned in there as well. If you don't find one there, please contact your RA.

I have left something in my room during the break. How may I access my room?

Call the University Residences - Facilities office at 360-650-3556 to set up an appointment with ResLife/Custodial staff to assist you in accessing your room. The access fee for the service is $35.00.

Can I receive pay-per-view channels like HBO?

All rooms come with Basic cable service, including 65 stations. Premium and pay-per-view options are available. See TV Cable Listings for information on the basic cable channels or the Comcast site for information about their additional services.

Where can I purchase the equipment I need to connect the cable TV service in my room?

A standard coaxial cable that connects the TV to the wall outlet is available at the Student Co-op Bookstore or at most hardware stores. All rooms are digital channel capable. Room and board rates provide basic cable that includes 60 channels. For digital TV/digital High-speed internet, contact Comcast at 1-800-COMCAST.

What size sheets fit the bed?

Most regular twin bed sheets fit our mattresses. Mattress dimensions are the following:

Buchanan Towers and Buchanan Towers East use a 38"x74"x6" mattress.
Higginson uses a 39"x80"x9" mattress.
All other residence halls have a 38"x79"x6" mattress.

Can I bring my own desk/bed and have the one provided stored?

ALL University Residences furniture is to remain in resident hall rooms. The University will not remove and store furniture from resident hall rooms.

How big is a specific element in the room?

Most beds are 44 inches in width, 83 inches in length. Most desks are 42" wide by 24" D. More detailed information is not available.

How big is my room?

Residence hall rooms come in a variety of shapes and sizes ranging from 145 square feet to 210 square feet. Dimensions for specific rooms are not available. For information related to specific rooms, check out your hall's page in the Virtual Tour.
