25ct Coffee After 5pmThis article was archived on July 2, 2009 Red Eye Special for Dead Week & FinalsMay 29, 2009 ![]() University Dining Services is showing their appreciation and support for hard-working students, faculty and staff with the Red Eye Special which returns to on-campus markets and cafes on Monday, June 1st. After 5pm during Western’s Dead Week and Finals Week, participating locations that brew Starbucks Coffee or Tony’s Coffee will serve 12-ounce drip coffee or tea for just twenty-five cents. The Red Eye Special can be found at The Atrium, Miller Market, VU Market, VU Café, Tony’s Coffee Haggard Hall, Rock’s Edge Café, The Haven and The Underground Coffeehouse. The idea is to give students a chance to refuel for those inevitable late-nighters that accompany the last two weeks of the quarter. ![]() In addition to the unbeatable coffee deal, certain locations will be open extended hours. The Atrium (in Arntzen Hall) will be open until midnight Monday - Thursday of Dead Week, and again Sunday - Wednesday of Finals Week. With comfortable seating and a relaxing atmosphere, The Atrium is an ideal place to crack the books, meet with a group or grab a snack. Miller Market’s hours will be extended until 8 pm Monday - Thursday of Dead Week, as well as Monday - Wednesday of Finals. The Viking Union Café will be open until 10pm Monday - Thursday and Saturday of Dead Week, as well as Sunday - Tuesday of Finals. With discounted drinks, late night hours, a plethora of food options and lots of seating, Western’s on-campus cafés and markets are an ideal place to get some serious studying or relaxing done.
