Introducing the New "Commuter Meal Plan"

Living off-campus next year? Have you considered signing up for a meal plan? For the 2009-2010 academic year, there are 5 different off-campus meal plans available, each designed to fit varying lifestyles of off-campus students. Off-campus students have the same four meal plan options that are available to on-campus students (Unlimited, 125, 100, and 75 Meals), plus the option of an entirely new plan. New this year is a “Commuter Meal Plan,” consisting of 5 meals per week in the Resident Dining Commons and $150 Dining Dollars per quarter.

What should you know about the new “Commuter Meal Plan”?

This affordable and flexible dining plan is designed specifically and exclusively for off-campus students and on-campus apartment dwellers (Birnam Wood and New York Apartments). WWU faculty and staff may purchase the plan too. On-campus students living in the dorms do not have the option to select this meal plan.
The plan includes 5 meals per week (Sunday-Saturday) in any of the three Resident Dining Commons. Meals expire at the end of the week (Saturday night).
$150 Dining Dollars are also included in the plan. These may be used at any of the 13 dining locations on campus. Each year, Dining Dollars roll over quarter to quarter until the end of Spring Quarter.

Contest Rules

You must sign up for a 2009 – 2010 off-campus meal plan by June 30, 2009 to be eligible for the drawing. You can sign up for a meal plan at the Assignments Office in the Edens Hall Main Lobby or look for one of the "meal plan sign-ups" tables in the Resident Dining Commons during the week of May 25.
Off-campus students, students living in Birnam Wood or New York Apartments, faculty and staff are eligible for this drawing. Students living in on-campus residence halls are not eligible.
The winner of the Free Meal Plan will be announced on October 12, 2009. To remain eligible, the winner must still be on a meal plan at the time of the drawing. At this time, the cost of the meal plan will be credited to the winner's student account.
The free Meal Plan will be for the 3 quarter 2009 – 2010 academic year (Fall 2009 – Spring 2010).
The winner of the free Meal Plan will receive the meal plan that they are signed up for as of Fall Quarter 2009. No substitutions. For example, if the winner is signed up for the Commuter Meal Plan at the time of the drawing, they are eligible to receive a free Commuter Meal Plan, and may not receive a free Unlimited, 125 Meal, 100 Meal or 75 Meal Plan.
