Now you can Buy it online!April 6, 2009  University Residences and University Dining Services are pleased to announce that we now have a way for our customers to buy Munch Money online. Any WWU student, faculty or staff member with a valid W# can now deposit money to an existing Munch Money account via the Web. Parents, family or friends can also make an online deposit with a student’s W#.
HOW MUNCH MONEY ONLINE WORKS
From our current Munch Money web page, customers are connected to a secure site provided by “CBORD: ManageMyID.”
- You’ll need to register if it’s your first time buying WWU Munch Money online
- All major credit cards are accepted
- The minimum deposit amount online is $25.00
- A $1.75 convenience fee applies to online transactions
- Once the online transaction is complete, the Munch Money funds will be available for use on the customers Western Card immediately.
To find your current Munch Money balance, go to the Dining Balances web page. You can also ask any Dining Services cashier on campus, or inquire at University Dining Services main office in Edens Hall 109.
OTHER WAYS TO BUY MUNCH MONEY
There are some alternatives for those who don't have online access, or prefer not to buy Munch Money via the Web. However, these options will be changing after June 12, 2009.
Current alternatives are:
- Pay by phone with Visa or MasterCard by calling the Housing Cashier at 360.650.3744
- By mail with a check made payable to WWU. Send to:

- In-person with cash, check or credit card by visiting the Housing Cashier in Edens Hall, Monday-Friday 8a – 4p.
- Checks should be made payable to: WWU.
- All transactions require a valid W#.
After June 12, 2009, the options will change:
- In-person Munch Money payments can be made by cash or check, at the University Dining Services office in Edens Hall 109, Monday-Friday 8a - 4p. (No longer at the Housing Cashier office.)
- By mail with a check made payable to Sodexo. Send to: University Dining Services, 516 High Street, MS 9196, Bellingham, WA 98225. Note W# on your check.
- Credit Card transactions will only be accepted online. Munch Money payments will no longer be accepted by telephone.
- Checks should be made payable to: Sodexo.
- All transactions require a valid W#.
The Benefits of Using Munch Money haven’t changed. It's convenient and cost effective!
- Munch Money deposits are placed on an individual’s account and are used with a simple swipe of the Western Card.
- Munch Money is a convenient way to pay for anything bought in Western's Cafés and Markets or to pay for meals in one of three Resident Dining Commons.
- Save 18.5% whenever you use it to pay for your food purchases on campus. This includes a 10% discount on prices, plus exemption from 8.5% sales tax on all food purchases. Non-food items are subject to sales tax.
- Easier and more secure than using cash.
